  Ultrasound and no baby???

Was hoping there was someone out there that has gone through the same thing as me. I had bleeding which I thought was my periods coming early (I have a 7 month old and not quite back into a routine yet). On the 14th Feb my coffee tasted awful after the 5th attempt of making a coffee, I thought that maybe I was pregnant! Took a home pregnancy test (well 3) and all were positive. I went to the Dr, but I was still spotting for a total of 12 days, I have had x 2 Ultrasounds (even transvaginal) and they found 2 cysts but no sign of any baby. I have been told that I have a Threatened miscarriage, but my hormone levels are doubling every day. They think I am nearly 6 weeks, but I know when I conceived and I would now be 4 weeks, hitting 5. Has anyone had the same experience?

Hi. Yes i have had brown spotting since 4 weeks. I went for an ultrasound at what i thought was 6 weeks but the gestational sacs (had two) measured just over 5 weeks. I waited 3 more weeks and had a follow up ultrasound Monday. They found one healthy 8 week old baby, heartbeat and yolk sac :)

If i were you I would wait two-four weeks for a next ultrasound. Take it easy. If you have cramping and heavy bleeding, go to hospital.

My last period was over 9 weeks ago but baby is measuring just over 8 wks. I go and start antenatal testing and another scan in around 3 more weeks.

    Goodluck, only time can tell.

They can't even find any gestational sacs! its very scary since I have had 3 normal pregnancies beforehand? Just bizarre

Hmm, well could have been a chemical pregnancy or a Ectopic. Did they check for ectopic?

Im not sure why you still have positives on pg tests. Are your beta numbers still doubling?

They checked for Ectopic, but said 'probably not'? and my numbers are doubling? I have to go back to hospital next week for more monitoring so crossing my fingers for a good outcome!

I had one where they never saw anything till later. A baby did show up but measured two weeks smaller than it should have been and at nearly 12 weeks I lost it. The body does all sorts of strange things sometimes but never loose hope.

Could be a Molar pregnancy. Google it & you will see the symptoms. Also, sometiems it's hard tos ee a foetus in an ultrasound in the early stages.
